The Shoot & Share contest is a worldwide contest open to pretty much any photographer (including amateurs and hobbyists) who think their photos have a shot to win the top prize. The voting is unique because there is no popularity involved. No one can just find your photo and vote for it. Every single photo has an equal chance to be seen, and photos are removed each round based on how many votes they received in the previous round. I’ve entered my photos the last two years, and this year nine of my photos made it to the top 30% or higher. There were over 330,000 photos in the contest this year, so having that many of mine place that high is pretty awesome.
